Theatre, Scenery, Set Construction, Props and Little Buildings
TST (The Sustain Theatre) formed in 2012 from a group of creatives and crafts people with a desire to reuse and reclaim at their heart.
Over the years, we have built stages, cafés, houses and temporary dwellings, crafted bespoke props, and delivered practical logistical solutions both on land and at sea.
In 2013 we found a permanent home in South Wales, nestled beneath the canopy of Coed Gwent / Wentwood Forest. With the emphasis on sustainability, recycling and reuse, our workshops support all aspects of theatre-making and touring set construction for the festival circuit. The studio is also available for the design and build of custom props and set pieces.
Our new performance space opens in May. Built from recycled and reclaimed materials, featuring a covered stage and seating, it brings a unique blend of outdoor and indoor theatre, set within the forest.
TST workshops are also part of the UK Men’s Shed network, hosting a shed every Tuesday.
Our space is opening in spring this year,
Are you looking for a dry outdoor theatre space hidden in the forest for your production? Are you a travelling Shakespeare company?
Workshop
in our workshop, we create performances, sets, props, and events that are responsibly made, rooted in craft, and attentive to their wider impact.
Goshawk Coffee
Also on site, we have just about to open our own cafe. Working with Clifton Coffee please come along and enjoy a coffee after a walk in the woods or visiting the other facilities.
